Year 1

Philosophy and Methodology

BISJ's Year 1 programme is based on the school's statement of its Mission, Philosophy and Objectives.  Through our cross-curricular units of inquiry we start from the child's existing skills as a learner, and we work to help them move forward.  Throughout, communication in English (the school's main medium of instruction) is encouraged and children are also taught the host language, Arabic.
