Senior Student Council

In September of this year elections for the new Senior Student Council were held.  After vigorous campaigning, long hours put into writing speeches and a variety of other publicity ideas; the four Executive Officers were elected.  Jade Farhat, Aseel Abu Dabat, Qurat Al-Ain Abbas and Imre Kara took over from Tala Badr, Saqib Yaqoob, Jung Yoon Seo and George Chalhoub on the 20th September.

As well as organising various activities and events for the senior section of the Upper School, the Student Council and its Class Representatives aim to represent the interests of the students and to provide a channel for communication between the administration and the student body. The Senior Student Council of the British International School of Jeddah, or Conti as the students call it are working on making changes for the better in order to promote a friendlier, warmer and more fun ambience in the school. 

Since the beginning of the year, the SSC members have managed to organise several events for the students in which they can socialise and have a good time in a safe environment. The October Social, Sushi Day and the up-coming Talent Show and Spirit Week are some of them and there are many more planned.  The SSC are also involved in the School’s International Day Celebrations and Peace Day Celebrations promoting understanding and Unity to all.
